"Look at you. Youβre young. And youβre scared. Why are you so scared? Stop being paralyzed. Stop swallowing your words. Stop caring what other people think. Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to the music you want to listen to. Play it loud as fuck and dance to it. Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have school the next day. Stop waiting for Friday. Live now. Do it now. Take risks. Tell secrets. This life is yours. When are you going to realize that you can do whatever you want?"

βNot Myself Todayβ is a high impact campaign aimed to improve and raise awareness for mental health in Canada. A wall constructed of mood pins strategically located in the heart of Toronto gave passing visitors the opportunity to select and βwear their moodβ. The bold rainbow of colours acts as a lightning rod, drawing people in, while the simple act of selecting their mood sparked dialogue, released stories and inspired hundreds of pledges of support.
Designed byΒ BLOK Design studio, in connection withΒ Partners for Mental HealthΒ they explain the thoughts behind the campaign:[Images copyright toΒ BLOK DesignΒ / Read more atΒ BLOK Design]Critical to its success was to create an experience that would draw people into a conversation, encourage a new, more open relationship with their feelings, and inspire them to pledge their support. The identity thus
had to be bold yet personal and comfortable. To do this, we created a spectrum of moods and corresponding colours that people could identify with, select and wear. We then put it out on the street to provoke engagement and dialogue, driving them to the website where they could learn more and pledge their support.
This is cool
